The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Full name
  • Contact details (e.g., phone numbers, business address, email address)

How we get your personal information and why we collect it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following purposes:

  1. To send scientific and educational information, which is not related to Intellias’ Therapeutics group products, services and activities and other marketing purposes, to increase the knowledge in the scientific community;
  2. To execute and maintain the existing contractual relationship (in clinical trials) between Intellia Therapeutics.
  3. To respond to non-commercial medical and technical requests for information about products manufactured or distributed by Intellia Therapeutics, concerning adverse events and medical information.

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • Publicly available sources

We use the information that you have given us to:

  1. Provide you with information on educational resources, training programs, and professional development opportunities relevant to your specialty.
  2. Fulfil legal and regulatory obligations, including reporting to health authorities, maintaining patient records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
  3. Conduct research, clinical studies, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at advancing medical knowledge and enhancing patient care.
  4. Protect the confidentiality and security of patient information, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations.

We may share this information with third parties in certain cases. This includes sharing information with service providers who assist in our operations and services, under strict confidentiality agreements. In the event of mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, your data may be transferred, and we will notify you of any significant changes. We may also disclose your data to comply with legal obligations, such as responding to requests from Authorities. Additionally, your data may be transferred internationally to countries with different data protection laws. To ensure compliance and maintain protection, we use measures such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are the following:

  1. For the purposes of sending scientific and educational information, we rely on our legitimate interest.
  2. For the purposes of executing and maintaining the existing contractual relationship, we have a contractual obligation.
  3. For the purposes of responding to medical and technical (non-commercial and marketing) requests for information about products manufactured or distributed by Intellia Therapeutics, concerning adverse events and medical information, we have a legal obligation.

How we store your personal information

Your information is stored in Intellia or third-party systems in the United States that are designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

We keep your personal information for the duration of our relationship with you and any additional retention period required by applicable laws, rules, or regulations. We will then dispose this information by removing your information from our systems except as required to comply with applicable laws, rules, or regulations.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  1. Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
  2. Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
  3. Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
  4. Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  5. Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  6. Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
